Graduate React Developer (Home Based)

To be considered for the role, you’ll have the following essential attributes:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other “STEM” subject

  • Some prior experience of React development on a university or personal project

  • Fluent in English

  • Exposure to software development requirements for applications in healthcare (desirable)

  • Understanding of AWS services and deployment infrastructure (desirable)

 

We’re looking for a Graduate React developer to join the team developing our Virtual Lucy platform. Lucy embeds the clinical triage experience of our experts in a highly scalable application with demanding requirements for usability and accessibility across mobile and web.

Lucy is a great networker, using video, audio and collaboration technologies to link people together while simultaneously co-ordinating data sharing with systems for electronic health records, diagnostic imaging and healthcare CRM. Experience in any of these areas will help you but is not essential for candidates willing to learn.

 

In this position, you will also be:

 

  • Working closely with a senior developer as your guide, develop new capabilities for the Virtual Lucy platform that will lead to improved patient outcomes and a better healthcare experience

  • Studying tools and methodologies for development including staying current with the latest developments in React and related technologies

  • Maintaining a strong focus on testing everything you develop as well as learning and adopting new tools and methodologies to improve software quality

  • Working closely with QA to ensure issues are quickly understood, root cause identified, and an effective resolution implemented

  • Contributing to our agile development process by working closely with Scrum leaders and UX designers to understand customer requirements and call out technical considerations which may not have been considered

  • Being an active participant in stand-ups, retrospectives and sprint planning including striving to accurately estimate development timescales

  • Following modern software engineering best practise: collaborative distributed coding with branching version control, continuous integration and deployment

  • Driving world-class quality in the development and support of our products in accordance with our ISO9001 and ISO27001 Quality Management System
